I am hosting an outdoor picnic conversation at the Garibaldi Meucci Museum about Anita Garibaldi/Ana Maria de Jesus Ribeiro da Silva a day before her 200th birthday. Following the event, I am going with artist Anthony Santella to launch his hand-carved boat on the Narrows, accompanied by wishes for a bike/pedestrian lane on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. His boat will carry one of my Liberate The Verrazzano flags.
